StreamByter is a versatile plugin designed for crafting custom MIDI effects, featuring the option to work with or without a GUI. It can be seamlessly integrated as an Apple Audio Unit (AU) effect or utilized as a standalone application connected through CoreMIDI virtual ports. StreamByter has been adapted from our highly-regarded MidiFire MIDI processing platform.

For users of the AU variant, an iOS device with at least iOS 11 and a compatible AU host app such as AUM, apeMatrix, Cubasis, or Sequencism are required. To make use of CoreMIDI functionality, we recommend employing a routing application like MidiFire along with an iOS device running on at least iOS 8.

StreamByter empowers users to:

Expand the MIDI processing capabilities of any AU host.
Reassign channels, notes, controllers (any MIDI parameter).
Refine or broadly filter MIDI events.
Replicate or postpone any event.
Automatically transmit any event upon loading the plugin.
Create intricate effects by employing programming elements such as conditionals, loops, variables (including arrays, timing, and randomization), and mathematical operators.
Establish bi-directional connections between effect logic and graphical sliders (remotely controllable through AU parameters).
