StreamByter is a versatile plugin designed for crafting custom MIDI effects, featuring the option to work with or without a GUI. It can be seamlessly integrated as an Apple Audio Unit (AU) effect or utilized as a standalone application connected through CoreMIDI virtual ports. StreamByter has been adapted from our highly-regarded MidiFire MIDI processing platform.

For users of the AU variant, an iOS device with at least iOS 11 and a compatible AU host app such as AUM, apeMatrix, Cubasis, or Sequencism are required. To make use of CoreMIDI functionality, we recommend employing a routing application like MidiFire along with an iOS device running on at least iOS 8.

StreamByter empowers users to:

<li>Expand the MIDI processing capabilities of any AU host.</li>
<li>Reassign channels, notes, controllers (any MIDI parameter).</li>
<li>Refine or broadly filter MIDI events.</li>
<li>Replicate or postpone any event.</li>
<li>Automatically transmit any event upon loading the plugin.</li>
<li>Create intricate effects by employing programming elements such as conditionals, loops, variables (including arrays, timing, and randomization), and mathematical operators.</li>
<li>Establish bi-directional connections between effect logic and graphical sliders (remotely controllable through AU parameters).</li>
</ul>

StreamByter is configured through a text-based rules 'language' that outlines the specific operational parameters of the effect. For comprehensive details, please refer to the support link directing to our website.
